Currently we’ve been studying colour theory and the different emotions that colours convey. Colour is an essential part of advertising as it allows potential customers to associate those colours with your products.

This video explains the concept of colour theory and the colour wheel. We learn the four qualities of the colour wheel. These include saturation.


This logo is a mix of a red symbol and black writing. The vibe it gives is passionate, energy, mystery and subtle. Sometimes it’s best for a logo to be more subtle then outstanding. It can strain someone’s eyes.

For this project we were asked to create shapes while filling them with more to create patterns. This tasks displays the pattern between primary colours and secondary colours.


c. Evaluation
For the first square I used colours that were close to each other (red, orange and yellow). I did this because it shows that even though they are close together, they have a huge contrast. For the second one I used neon colours to create a sense of intensity. I used multiple squares and made them smaller to create a tunnel shape
